New House - Kitchen Remodel

We just purchased a new house, only a few doors down from our old house. It needed alot of work - including a major kitchen update. The layout of the kitchen is fine, but it needed all new appliances, a replacement of the dark green granite, paint, and back splash. Here are the before and after photos from the project.

In the first set - you can see the most obvious transformation. We painted the cabinets white. We just standard Sherwin Williams cabinet paint in classic white. It was a huge project, but totally worth it. We did this work ourselves. Took off the doors, sprayed the cabinets with primer and paint. We tapped everything off inside before spraying, but are glad we did this before we refinished the floors, got new wall paint, counter tops and back splash. The paint got everywhere. So, I def recommend you do cabinets first before anything else.

In the second before/after, you can see where we replaced appliances. We replaced the microwave/oven combination with a double oven and put the microwave over the gas stove. We also got the touch screen Samsung refrigerator. You can also see a good view of the new counters from this picture. What's interesting is they photograph much more brown than in person. These look much whiter/grayer in person than on film.

Here's another angle of the kitchen. We took down the pot rack from the ceiling and sold it for $50 on Craigslist.

The wall color is: Sherwin Williams Reflection and the pantry door is Sherwin Williams Watery.

From this view you can see the pot rack is gone and we replaced the kitchen table light. We had to relocate the feed for the light as well, as the original was off center and not aligned in the ceiling correctly.

And finally, just some other random pictures of the kitchen.
